Scala is a powerful functional language that you can use to implement a simple language and its interpreter in less than 1000 lines. The simple home-made language, called Flappy, has given Satoshi tremendous flexibility in many situations. This talk will present some real-world examples of how Flappy has brought value to Satoshi's development job in the financial company.
