Having applications that not only possess meaningful logs but also provide tracing information, across boundaries, end to end, can offer a productivity boost when dealing with errors, support tickets, bug investigation, and performance issues. Pierangelo will demonstrate how ZIO-Telemetry can be used for this purpose, and how tracing instrumentation for arbitrary service boundaries can be easily built.
